HubSpot Ticket Status SMS
HubSpot ticket status texts are SMS messages sent automatically when a ticket’s status changes, such as New, Waiting on contact or Closed. A ticket-based workflow fires the text, Message IQ fills in ticket properties, and every associated contact receives it.
HubSpot’s ticket pipeline can email customers when a ticket opens or closes. The statuses in between, where tickets stall, usually depend on a rep remembering to write. Customers call to ask, and tickets wait on answers that sit in an unread inbox.
Message IQ adds a text at each status that matters. You choose which statuses send, what each text says and when it goes. Replies come back to the help desk your team already works in.
A rep, a pipeline rule or an inbound reply moves the ticket.
Enrollment triggers on the new status, and re-enrollment covers tickets that come back.
Every associated contact gets the ticket number, status and next step.
The reply lands in HubSpot’s shared inbox or help desk and alerts the team in real time.
Delivered, failed and received events let you report by pipeline and status.
Confirm the ticket with its number and a response window. Customers stop sending a second email to check it arrived.
Ask for the one thing you need. Texts get read within minutes, so the ticket moves again sooner.
Tell the customer a specialist has the issue and when to expect news. Silence is what drives escalation calls.
For field or repair work, text the visit window once it's set. Pair it with appointment reminders.
Confirm the fix and invite a reply if it isn't resolved. The reply lands on the record for the ticket owner.
When an issue comes back, text that a rep is on it again. See HubSpot SMS for customer service teams.

Yes, with Message IQ. Create a ticket-based workflow that enrolls on ticket status, then add the Message IQ send SMS action. The text goes to every contact associated with the ticket.
Yes. Message IQ pulls properties from the ticket that triggered the workflow, so the ticket number, status, owner and custom fields can appear in the message.
Replies log to the contact timeline. They also appear in HubSpot’s shared inbox and help desk once you reconnect HubSpot in Smart Ramp under Settings, then Integrations.
Yes. Message IQ texts every contact associated with the triggering ticket. Use ticket associations to control who hears about each issue.
Updates about a customer’s own ticket are informational, so they don’t need marketing consent. Keep them free of promotions. Message IQ adds opt-out language automatically and honors STOP replies.
Ticket status texts run on ticket-based workflows, so your HubSpot plan needs to include them, typically Service Hub Professional or Enterprise. One-to-one texting works on any plan.
Plans start at $49/month for 1,000 messages and scale to $1,999/month for 60,000, with unlimited users and every feature included. Month-to-month, cancel anytime.
Book a free 30-minute strategy call. We’ll build a Waiting on contact text in your HubSpot portal and show it firing live. No credit card. No commitment.
Text the statuses where the customer has to act or is likely to call: New, Waiting on contact and Closed. Add an escalation text if tickets often move to a second tier. Skip internal statuses customers never see. Turn on re-enrollment so a ticket that returns to Waiting on contact sends again, and add a short delay so quick status flips don’t send two texts. Filter out spam and duplicate tickets by source or category.
Ticket updates are informational, so they don’t need marketing consent. Keep them that way, with no offers and no upgrade pitches. List the use case in your 10DLC campaign before you send at volume. Message IQ adds opt-out language when a message lacks it and writes STOP replies to the Message IQ Opt-Out property, which your ticket workflows should check. In regulated industries, keep account numbers, diagnoses and other sensitive details out of the text.
A customer emails support about a damaged order. HubSpot creates the ticket, and the New text confirms ticket #4821 with a four-hour response window. The rep needs the order number and moves the ticket to Waiting on contact, which sends a text asking for it. The customer replies ten minutes later, and the reply lands in the shared inbox. The rep ships a replacement and closes the ticket. The closing text asks the customer to reply if anything is still off.
